Aqueduct Sewer Company Matanzas

The Company of Aqueduct and Sewerage of Jagüey Grande, integrated to the Business Group of Aqueduct and Sewer (GEAAL) belonging to the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH), emerged on January 28, 2003, in Business Improvement by agreement 4626 of the Executive Committee of the Council of Ministers, of December 12 of this same year.

APPLICATION ROUTES AND FORMS OF PROVISION OF SERVICES:

     Water supply (connections and tank cars)

Rush request: Delivered in writing to the UEB Population Service office.

Tank cars: It is supplied by tank cars to the contracted population whose system is affected. As well as places that do not have systems previously contracted with Comunales. It is requested in the Office Room.

 Waste disposal (pit cleaning)

Pit cleaning report: It is carried out in the commercial office corresponding to the distribution where the client lives, presenting:

     Permanent identity card.
     Last proof of payment for water service.
     Supply book.

Contract or Collection of water service by the network.

To make a contract or pay for the service: It is carried out in the commercial office corresponding to the distribution where the client lives, presenting:

     Permanent identity card.
     Supply book.

Suppression of leaks.

Leaks report: It is done in the Population Attention office or in the Dispatch Room.

Unclogging and cleaning of the aqueduct, sewer and storm drainage system.

Report of obstructions: It is carried out in the Office of Attention to the Population or in the Office Room.

Urban Ditch and Canal Maintenance Activity.

Since 2009, our entity, according to the country's indications, assumes the maintenance activity of urban storm drains, an activity whose tendency is organization and improvement. Work has been carried out on manual cleaning of the same. The UEB has a workforce of 106 workers, of which 20% are indirect personnel and 83% are direct to production.

Social object

• Resolution 326 dated May 2, 2014 of the MEP, approves the modification of the corporate purpose of the Matanzas Aqueduct and Sewer Company, being in charge of:Provide drinking water supply services, collection and treatment of residual waters and pluvial and fluvial drainage. The secondary activities derived from the corporate purpose are: Secondary Activities
• Construction, repair and maintenance of civil works (hydraulic infrastructure).
• Installation or reconnection, maintenance and repair to aqueduct, sewage and storm drainage networks up to the limits of the client's property.
• Assembly and disassembly of hydraulic, chlorination and measurement equipment. Cleaning of channels, ditches, streams, ravines, ditches, septic tanks and other residual treatment systems.
• Unclogging and cleaning of the aqueduct, sewer, storm drainage system and maintenance of oxidation ponds.
• Water supply in tank car.
• Suppression of leaks.

Support activities

     Efficiency studies, advice or consulting and / or technical assistance for:
     a) Acquisition of hydraulic equipment and attachments.
     b) Of the aqueduct, sewerage and storm drainage systems.
