• Emilio Mora Galán:

Specialty: Plastic Arts.

He began his artistic life in 1965.

Member of UNEAC.

From the beginning of the XX Anniversary Art Instructors Brigade, it had groups of students who excelled in the different demonstrations. In the mid-1980s he suffered a traffic accident and totally lost his right arm, with tezon and a lot of will he learned to use his left arm and today he works wonders with it; works ceramics, iron, wood and seeds.

In 2001 he was the provincial community culture award and finalist for the national award, in 2000 he obtained the Olga Alonso national award and the Raúl Gómez García distinction in 1997, in addition to maintaining for 9 consecutive years (1989-1997) the status of national vanguard.

• Troadio B. Rivero Solorzano

Specialty: Applied arts.

He began his artistic life in 1983.

Member of UNEAC.

At the age of 22 he painted his first painting on canvas, later he worked in the clay in the making of human figures of repercussion in America as a project, later he went on to work wood combined with jute and other fibers, he has used leather alongside wood, He has a permanent exhibition in Varadero on Calle 60 and in Plaza de las Américas, his paintings have been presented by the President of Cuba to foreign personalities (in 2001 to the King of Malaysia).

He obtained the status of national avant-garde in 1999, distinguished worker of culture in 2001, prize for the Cuban fund of cultural goods in the second event of applied arts of Matanzas in 1992, prize for the Cuban Fund of Cultural People and Saíz Brothers in the event Sixth room from the ACAA 1999, UNEACC Prize in the seventh ACAA Provincial Salon in 2000 and first prize from the ACAA in the ninth applied arts salon.

She began her artistic life in 1978.

He has stood out in the preparation and training of new generations by giving seminars to members of radio broadcasting circles of interest and empowerment courses for young broadcasters, he has been a member of juries at municipal and provincial radio festivals, in which has participated as a delegate. It has been an important part in the dissemination of municipal, national and international historical events and events such as: the events in Granada, the tribute operation, cultural and political activities such as the Constitutional referendum in 2002, a national act for the Victory of Playa Girón 2006, parades for the first of May, she participated as an announcer in the campaign for the return of the Five Heroes, she also participated in the event of young creators, in the national event of social communication with a presentation by community radio, event of UNEAC E Milian in memorian, in the first international radio biennial, was selected by the José Martí cultural society as one of the 10 most relevant women in Cuba in 2008, in 2013 the municipality's cultural institutions selected her among the 20 women with the longest history in the territory in the first women's event.

• Noel Esteban Martínez Martínez

Specialty: Bachelor of History

He began his artistic life in 1982.

As an investigator he had many achievements from the opening of the museum until he became a journalist for the Radio Victoria de Girón station, he was a member of the founding team of the magazine Ideas and other bulletins and publications of the municipality and the province, since 1998 he became a correspondent of Radio Reloj in Matanzas.

Juan Marinello obtained the order in 1979, in 2002 he received the Félix Elmusa distinction in journalism, the memory prize of the UNEAC in 1996, the Gilberto Caballero award in the scientific journalistic event of 2000 in that same year, the radio journalism award of the journalism event 26 of Julio, heritage prize at the 1986 national research award event, testimonial award at the 1998 national radio festival event and an informative round table award at the 2002 national radio festival event

• Nelson Astiazarain Olivera

Specialty: Music, Bass, Guitar and Tres

He began his artistic life in 1975.

He chairs the Musical Audition Commission of the territory Jagüey Grande Ciénaga de Zapata, he is guitarist and founder of the new trova, he has toured abroad, founder of the brigade of Art Instructors XX Anniversary, currently plays for tourism in the Ciénaga de Zapata .

He obtained the status of provincial avant-garde between the years 1975-1978, the distinction Raúl Gómez García in 1990, first place in interpretation at the Rafael Somarrillo event at the provincial level in 1984, best-selling album in Matanzas "Open the barrier that comes son" from the Los Andes quartet.

• Leonel Carballo Clavero

Specialty: Theater, Pantomime.

He began his artistic life in 1960.

He began his artistic life as a member of the FAR specializing in pantomime, serving as an instructor for soldiers and students, founder of the 20th Anniversary Brigade and later art instructor in the municipality's House of Culture, in his youth he was a member of the Brothers Association Saíz.

He obtained the distinction Raúl Gómez García in 1989, national vanguard of 1988-1992, he obtained the golden plaque for the 25th anniversary of the movement of amateur artists in 1988, first place in the national festival of fans in 1965 and 1966, first place in the festival of amateur artists from the Central Army in 1967 and first place in the theater at the FEEM festival in the years 1972-1975.

• Yolanda Caridad Brito Álvarez

Specialty: Literature, Philologist

She began her artistic life in 1964.

Member of UNEAC.

She started as a poet and storyteller for children, founder of the Agramonte culture house, in 1982 she became head of the literature section, founded and directed since 1986 the Limón Limonero literary artistic project, founder of the literary magazine Ideas (1986- 1989), founder of the Tertulia municipal family library project, holds the Centennial Award for the Golden Age conferred by MINCULT in 1989.

In 1998 she obtained the Raúl Gómez García distinction, National Vanguard from 1990 to 1999, national vanguard of the ANIR in 1999 and 2000.

• Diego Carbonell Borroto

Specialty: Dance and comparsa music

He began his artistic life in 1970.

He started as a sugar bowl in touches and dances for sugar parties and the batey where he lives. His troupe is named the Guaracheros of Australia and they entertain emulation activities, sugar festivals, patriotic dates and other ephemeris.

He obtained the status of provincial vanguard for three consecutive years, medal for 25 years in the sugar sector in 1993, Pedro Betancourt award in popular festivals in 1979 and other awards and recognitions from various municipalities and towns for the participation of his comparsa in popular activities.

• Herminio Lorenzo Amor

Specialty: Singing and Plastic Arts.

He started his artistic life in 1960.

From his youth he sang works by various authors and composers such as Adolfo Guzmán and Isolina Carrillo, he was the winner in singing competitions. Director of the XX Anniversary Art Instructors Brigade for several years; He currently works as an independent artist and is part of the ACAA. He obtained the distinction for national culture for the XX Anniversary Brigade, he was national vanguard for 5 consecutive years (1976-1981), prize in interpretation and composition at the ICRT amateur festival 1973 and prize in interpretation in 1973.

• Damaris Calderón Campos

Specialty: Literature

She began her artistic life in 1976.

Member of UNEAC.

She writes poetry since she was a child, she began her working life linked to literature as an advisor to the XX Anniversary Brigade. In Havana she wrote radio programs, she has published numerous poetry books in Cuba and abroad. At the 2002 Havana International Book Fair, he presented the book Sílabas ECCE Homo. She obtained the seal of the young laureate in 1985, she won the Diario El Mercurio de Chile award in 1999, Poetry Prize in the Contest March 13, 1987, David Prize in 1986, Extramuros Prize 1988. He has published several books such as: tightrope walker, hard to gnaw, hard waters of the tropics and pebbles.
