Legal procedures
Services provided at the Municipal Department of Justice:
Criminal Record.
It is the official document with which the existence or absence of the same is asserted for all the procedures that require it. They have a validity date of up to 6 months.
To request Criminal Record Certification, the presence of the interested party is required, bearing their Identification Card and a stamp of the stamp for a value of $ 5.00. The procedure is carried out at the Municipal Justice Directorates of each territory.

Cancellation of Criminal Record.
The procedure is PERSONAL. Those interested must present an updated Criminal History certificate and their Identification Card. The stamp has a value of $ 10.00 MN. The procedure is carried out at the Municipal Department of Justice.

Compensation Box
The Caja de Reardamientos is an Official institution created by the Social Defense Code since April 4, 1936, and its mission is to make effective the Civil Responsibilities to Natural Persons.
Among its functions are:
receive and review copies of judgments that provide for civil liability.
send requests to delinquent debtors so that they can present themselves to recover their debit.
receive notifications of compensation to creditors, we collect and issue a proof of payment.
deliver checks to compensate creditors which are issued by the Central Bank.
reconcile with the penitentiary centers for inmates who owe civil liability.
Obligations of the Debtors
Without the need for prior requirements, all debtors who are aware of their responsibility must appear at our office within 30 business days after signing otherwise there is a 10% surcharge on the amount of the debt according to article 11 of the Law. 1258 of 1954.
In case of pensions do not have this surcharge it is the fixed fee that the court has.
Obligations of Creditors
Victims have 90 working days from the notification made by the sanctioning court to claim their compensation, otherwise they lose the right. If they waive the collection or stop requesting it within the established term, it does not mean that the person sanctioned frees himself from entering the amount of the civil liability into the Compensation Fund.
In the case of the payment of the creditors it will be made when the debtor liquidates his debt, discounting 20% of the debt established by the court, reflected in article 7 of the aforementioned Law. In the case of pensions, the victim of the crime receives full payment of the fixed pension.
Declaratory Heir and Acts of last will.
Dependence of the Ministry of Justice whose social function is to register the Probate Parts and Acts of Declaration of Heirs that are granted in any of the notaries of the country, as well as any modification or cancellation of these notarial instruments by Judicial Resolution. This registration occurs ex officio by the Registry, that is, natural persons should not make any arrangements.
It also certifies the existence or absence of wills or declaration of heirs, for this application it will be necessary to present: Death certificate of the deceased and 2 stamps of the stamp of $ 5.00. Anyone can make the request.
If the intention is to update an Act of Declaration of Heirs, it will be necessary to present the act in question and $ 10.00 in stamp stamps, which can be 1 stamp of $ 10.00 or 2 of $ 5.00.
The Declaration of Heirs Act containing in its margin the volume and folio expression shall be valid for a term of one year from the date of authorization.
Certifications issued are valid for 6 months, after which period, if necessary, they must be requested again. The explanation is that any of the notarial instruments can be judicially modified or annulled.
