JAGUEY GRANDE MUNICIPAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE
The Municipal Health Directorate is located in the Jagüey Norte Popular Council of the main town. The Municipality has 6 Popular Councils and three Health Areas.
Among the main units we have 1 highly complex Polyclinic: University ¨7 de Diciembre¨, from Jagüey Grande with 34 Basic Health Teams (EBS), distributed in 21 local Family Medical Offices, one of them extended in La Montaña, ( only 3 Typical CMFs) and 2 Polyclinics of low complexity, Teachers: ¨Wilfredo Díaz¨ de Torriente, with 11 EBS, distributed in 9 CMF locations, (only 1 Typical) and Antonio Guiteras de Agramonte with 9 EBS, in 8 CMF locations, all adapted premises, the management structures being flattened.
GBT completion:
The Family Doctor and Nurse Program has the necessary human resources in the Basic Work Groups (GBT), we have managed to fulfill the strategy of completing the GBT.
We have 4 GBT. 2 in Pol. 7 de Diciembre, 1 in Wilfredo Díaz, Torriente and 1 in Antonio Guiteras, Agramonte.
COMMUNITY PROJECTION
Polyclinic December 7:
The following interconsultations are given: Endocrinology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Geriatrics, Nephrology, Cardiology, Neurology, Urology, Gastroenterology, ENT, Dermatology, Allergy, Oncology (Centralized every Friday in this Polyclinic)
In the case of the Wilfredo Díaz Polyclinic these specialties are screened on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month and in the case of the Antonio Guiteras Polyclinic on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month.
We have a Maternal Home with a capacity of 20 beds located in the municipal seat.
We also have 2 grandparents' houses: With an enrollment of 70 elderly.
