Jagúey Grande:
It was officially founded on June 25, 1857, assuming this name due to the existence of a lush tree from Jagüey that served as a site for merchants and highwaymen who went from Caimito del Hanabana to Macuriges (Pedro Betancourt)
Agramonte:
It was founded on December 5, 1859 with the name of Cuevitas due to the existence of several geographical accidents of this type in the region, on July 25, 1900 the City Council agreed to change the name of the town to Agramonte in tribute to the distinguished patriot Camaguey.
Torriente:
In 1852 a hamlet called Claudio was created in the area where the town is currently located, from 1863 with the arrival of the railway to the same one promoted by Cosme de la Torriente owner of the Cantabria mill began to be called Torriente
